US Netflix is (understandably) one of the best. Netflix is now available in more than 190 countries worldwide and each country has a different library and availability. Another option might be using a VPN to access Netflix titles locked to other regions.

Here we’ve gathered together some of the best gay coming out movies to suit any mood ones we know everyone will love, no matter their experience. There’s desire and there’s a hunt for identity. That’s probably why there are so many films that cover the subject: from high school movies to tales of discovery in later life, from passion to awkwardness. It’s never just one moment it’s an ongoing journey.
It’s a process that can be terrifying, exhilarating, heartbreaking, confidence-building and all of those combined plus more. As disappointing as it is, homophobia isn’t going anywhere and a lot of straight people, namely straight men, don’t want to see gay male relationships portrayed onscreen.Ask anyone who’s done it they’ll all have a coming out story. When you remember the main goal of these movies is to make money, it’s pretty clear why. Hollywood producers for all their talks about representation and all that, don’t actually give a fuck if it’s going to effect their bottom line. Solely because it’s more of a risk than the current formula. And could they make more romantic happier movies about lesbian relationships? Without a doubt they could. Now could Hollywood start producing movies like these featuring gay men? Sure. And audiences of women straight or gay, as well as gay men don’t have an issue seeing lesbian relationships portrayed like that either. We were at peak “I don’t care if you’re gay just don’t hit on me” (I’ve grown a lot since then).
Did we wanna watch a movie where two dudes fuck? No we didn’t. I can tell you for sure that me and all my friends wanted to see it when that came out when we were 17.
But you have one like the scene in Black Swan like you mentioned and every dude wants to see it. Straight men largely, don’t really want to see male gay sex in a movie. And audiences are a lot more comfortable seeing that with gay women than they are gay men. But I think a large part of it is for sure the fact that all those characteristics of the movies you mentioned with lesbian relationships are all sold to us, the audience as “sexy” and sex obviously sells. I think this isn’t the only contributing factor.
Honestly, great question I had never given much thought to till you made this post. Copied and pasted this from a similar post from about a week ago where someone was asking why we see a lot more intimacy in lesbian movies vs gay ones:
